iPod Touch 4G

For the past week, I have been enjoying my jailbroken iPod Touch, and then I see that Apple is launching iPod Touch 4G! Wow! I think I will start saving up for that.

Some of the published features include:

7.2mm thin, stainless back steel
Multi-touch
Retina Display: 960-by-640 backlit LCD display; 326 pixels per inch
Apple A4 processor: easily perform complex jobs such as multitasking, editing video, and placing FaceTime calls
Gyro + Accelerometer: a built-in three-axis gyroscope
Two Built-in Cameras: great for video chats and self-portrait photos!

There’s a promise of maximizing its battery life, which is a huge plus! Hopefully, I’ll have enough money early next year for this. Yes, I am not buying it when it comes out, I’ll wait a few months for it.

Or maybe, I’ll just get myself a laptop!

I have been online for 10 years now, and I have maintained a handful of websites and have had an opportunity to try out different web hosts throughout the years. At first, I tried out the free hosting sites, but, I do not like ads that doesn’t generate an income to my websites. So I decided to read godaddy user reviews, which were very helpful.

If you are a beginner, it is important to find a web host that is 99.99% up at all times, with a dependable support system. So far, I have been very lucky to be hosted in servers that can answer my questions in less than 24 hours, or real time, by doing online chats. Submitting trouble tickets to other web hosts can be a nightmare, because it takes them 48 hours to respond, especially when there are server outages.

One of the web hosting sites that have been getting rave reviews is Just Host. You can read all about just host user reviews and it is one of the Top 10 Web Hosting Sites.

Personally, there are a few things that you need to consider before you choose your webhost.

Type of website you’ll start; blog, business site, forum, etc.
Kinds of media you will use; photos, audio, video, etc.
How much space you will need. If you plan on uploading a lot of media, you will need more space.
compare web hosts; how else will you know which one is the best, right?
Find a website platform to use; WordPress, or other CMS programs are available for free use out there.

Once you find the best web host fit for your needs, it would much be easier for you to start your own website. As for me, I am very much satisfied with my current web host that I think I will stay with them for as long as I can.

One of the reasons why I bought the iPod Touch is because I wanted to read eBooks. At first, I tried to find a free iPod App that will allow me to add PDF files on my iPod Touch. A lot of them does the job, but I had to zoom in to read better, until I found GoodReader for iPhone.

Autoplay Repair Wizard

For the past few weeks, I have noticed that when I insert a CD or DVD, my computer doesn’t autoplay it. I didn’t try to fix it, I thought it would be gone when I do a restart, but it never repaired itself.

Today, I finally decided to find a fix for it. One actually exists at Microsoft.com. If you’re having this same issue, just download the Autoplay Fix. Run it. Follow the click throughs, and your computer is cured! No restart needed.

iPod App: Lyrical

I found a really cool iPod App today, and best of all, it’s free! It’s called Lyrical. Basically, what it does is, find the lyrics of the current song playing on your iPod. I love it! I don’t have to update my tags to add lyrics to each song. I just have to run the app, play my music, and sing!

Who is not excited for The Sims 3? Ever since I’ve heard the buzz about The Sims 3, I counted the days until its official release date. I haven’t bought it yet, but, I will. I’ve been playing The Sims for years now and I’ve always enjoyed it. The part that I enjoy the most is creating houses. Adding details to the entire lot is entertaining for me.

Once I get my hands on this new game, I will write a The Sims 3 review.

PDF Reader for PSP

I really find Bookr quite useful, as I love reading eBooks. I think it’s the only one of its kind right now.

Features:

Added support for PDF files with Chinese, Japanese and Korean text
Added a memory usage counter
Added single line scroll for the analog pad in the text viewer
Bookr will now try to block images from loading in PDF files when it is runing low on memory
Fixed many memory leaks in the image loader for PDF files. Bookr can load and display PDF files with more images than before.
Fixed memory leaks releasing the PDF viewer singleton Restored full page scroll with cursor buttons
Fixed font corruption for large font sizes in the text viewer
Fixed page positions in the text viewer after changing the font size and/or font rotation. Bookmarks for text files are not compatible with older releases.

WordPress 2.7.1

WordPress 2.7 is the best so far. Well, since it’s the latest, it should be. Upgrading to 2.7.1 was a breeze! I only clicked one button for a 1-minute or less upgrade.

It’s a great thing that I do not have to upload WordPress 2.7.1 files manually. I hope there won’t be any more updates soon. Let this stay for a few months. Ha!

Valentine’s Day is SOON

So the big heart’s day is coming soon, like 10-days soon. I don’t really know what to do on that day. Well, I haven’t been celebrating that day for years, even if I am in a relationship right now. I just think that it is an overrated occasion. A lot of stores are taking advantage of that day that the prices of roses and tulips shoot so high up.

How am I going to spend that day? Simple. I’d treat it just like any other day.

iPod Touch 2nd Gen

I recently bought an iPod Touch 2nd Gen and I’ve been using it a lot lately. It’s very useful and handy, especially when I have to check my email, I can use the email function everywhere I go, or when I am too lazy to turn on the computer. I’ve downloaded a lot of apps from the Apple App Store, but I usually install the free ones. I really don’t want to pay for a simple application or game. A friend of mine offered a gift card so that I can get the paid apps that he says are cool. He hasn’t gotten around to do it, though.

Anyway, I do enjoy the new features of the iPod Touch 2nd Gen. The built-in speaker allows me to listen to music withou my ears feeling numb because of the headphones. YouTube videos load faster, too. I just love my new toy!

Invasion: The Complete Series

I have purchased a lot of DVDs for the past weeks and my most favorite is Invasion: The Complete Series. I saw one episode at Star World but didn’t get to watch the rest of the episodes because the rest of the family chooses to watch telenovelas.

I actually am liking it more now that I have the DVD. It has 22 episodes and I am at episode 6. It’s an alien invasion, I think, well, I didn’t read up on it so that I’d be surprised in the end.

I am looking for the other series called, Taken, starring Dakota Fanning. I didn’t get to follow the whole series, so I would love to get that, too.
